Piaggio launches

And it’s even more retro-looking…

EXCLUSIVE
Few people will be able to tell you
exactly why, but Vespas are cool, and
the latest model is no different.
The 61-year-old scooter’s latest
incarnation is based on the existing
50cc and 125cc LX models with styling
revamped for a Seventies look. The
trimmed-down handlebar area is
distinguished by a square (instead of a
round) headlamp, while the mudguards
aren’t as long, showing off more of
the suspension.
Piaggio has also removed the
bulky plastic on the inside of the
legshield, revealing the shape
of the steel chassis spine,
typical of older Vespas.
The new 50cc will set
you back £1,999 while
its more powerful
brother, the
125cc, is £2,649.
They’re
available from
the end of
October.
