Carling Cup
Final Live
Sunday 24 February,
Sky Sports 1, 2.30pm
Live coverage of the Carling Cup Final
from Wembley, as last year’s winners
Chelsea take on Tottenham Hotspur,
who last won the trophy in 1999.
Chelsea are favourites, especially
with players such as Michael Essien
and Didier Drogba having returned
from the Africa Cup of Nations. It will
be an interesting tactical battle
between the sullen-looking Chelsea
boss Avram Grant and his opposite
number in north London, Juande
Ramos. Two January signings could
have a big role to play, with Spurs’
Jonathan Woodgate most likely
marking £15m-striker Nicolas Anelka.
